I was SEW over it...
My first business was a children's clothing business called Beam & Bloom. Ugh, I loved it and the little outfits were SO cute... But even though it was a great experience and was going well, it got pretty lonely. I would spend all day by myself sewing.
What fun is that? Soon enough, I started to realize that my favorite parts about the business were the product shoots! There's something about the people and the energy and the fun that comes with photoshoots.
Flash forward a few years and my sewing business was getting to be too much, it was covid, I was working as a full-time recruiter...
and then along came a cat named Simon.
My boyfriend's sister's cat was SO cute. We were at her house all the time and just couldn't stop taking pictures.
So much so that he ended up becoming a full-blown cat influencer... Crazy, I know lol. My pictures were getting featured on all these cat blogs and I ended up falling in love with photography.
I was hooked!
For me, it's more than just a picture
Photography, for me, has always meant a lot of different things. It's a night out in Japan with friends doing random and fabulous photoshoots. It's a fashion shoot where everyone is getting all glammed up! It's a memory of my dog before he passed. It's my love and I snuggling in a treehouse. It's me showing some skin and feeling proud.
All these intimate little moments make life beautiful. And that's what photography is to me. It's my way of remembering and treasuring how cute and fun and sad and romantic life can be!
When I do your photo shoot, that's my goal.
Not to just get a been-there-done-that shot. But to create and catch a moment that you'll cherish forever.
